Set It Off: Buenos Aires in a Whole New Way

Buenos Aires is a beautiful city, but trying to walk around each neighborhood is no way to try and see it.  William and Robin came to Buenos Aires with a idea and a vision and came up with a Biking Buenos Aires. They want to be able to show tourists and Porteños a new side of the city, as well as seeing more then what you could when walking.

We want to Set these guys off, so we asked them a couple questions just so we all could get to know the men behind this fantastic idea.

Their names are Robin Noah Gerlach and William Alan Whittle Jr. but people just call them Colo de Colorado, Binho, or Red Guy and BJ (Bill Jr.)

Robin is from a small town in Colorado, and has lived in BA for a long time, he says “Long enough to not be referred to as a Yanqui”

William is from Orangevale, California. He too has lived in BA for a long time, approximately 3 years.

To all the ladies, they both are single, but you will need to get them away from their bikes to have a chance. Robin is a Fernet lover and William likes to get silly with a La Puerta Roja signature drink, The Chili Bomb (very good so check it out).

These guys are both really funny people, and they know how to have a good time. They enjoy working for them selves as partners in the Bike Tours. They also have some new things on the horizon so make sure to keep in touch with their web site.

Robin would love to work in a Kiosko with Manu Chao and The Dalai Lama (interesting group).  William loves this city so much that he would easily live in Buenos Aires for the rest of his life.  These guys are music lovers and food lovers as well. Robin loves the classic Argentine sweet, Alfajores and William loves Bondiola with double cheese from the best, Parrilla Mi Sueno in Costanera Sur.

They are out door people, they hang out during the day in places like Cualquier Parque and Reserva Ecologica. At night Robin loves chillin in San Telmo at La Puerta Roja and obviously The Office Baires in Las Canitas (some of the best food in the city).  William likes working with Ping Pong and Foosball.

For these guys biking is not just a job, its a life style. They want to change this city and make the transportation not based on Gas powered vehicles, but move toward man powered locomotion.

These guys are great and always wanna show some love. They wanna give shout outs to…The City of Buenos Aires, Barry Bazza, Lucho Pucho, BAFA, Mis Viejos, Jessy Pollack, The Office Baires, Ya Ya Bean, Graffitimundo, Masa Critica BA, Bicicongo, Igor (Gatito Next Door) Bedouino, Lil Ray Ray, Their Parents and rest of their family (obvio) and to us The Buenos Aires Pub Crawl.

Make sure to check them out when you are here in BA. You can see the tours they offer Here
